Romaine lettuce is a real vegetable vitamin bomb and is rich in vitamins A, K and C, among other things. The many antioxidants in the lettuce have a cholesterol-lowering effect.

Recipe

Ingredients

-2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
-2 heads of romaine lettuce, top and bottom neatly trimmed, the heads cut in half lengthwise
-½ cup grated cheese

Dressing
-1 clove of garlic, peeled and finely chopped
-2 teaspoons of mayonnaise
-2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard
-½ cup extra virgin olive oil
-2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
-Celtich salt and black pepper to taste


Preparation method

1.Prepare the lettuce: Cut the romaine hearts lengthwise
in half. Brush all sides with olive oil.

2. Make the dressing: Whisk the ingredients for the dressing
each other. Set aside.

3. Grill the lettuce: Preheat the grill to medium-high. Lay the
romaine cut side down on grill and cook 3 to 5 minutes,
or until the lettuce is charred in spots. Turn over and cook for another 1 minute.

4. Use a pastry brush or small spoon to spread the dressing over the
